Bon retour du Québec...

First and foremost, welcome back from Quebec to our secondary students. We look forward to all of the details and pictures from your travels, and we also hope you put your French to use.

You would not know it by looking out the window today, but it's almost June. Summer and the end of the school year are almost here. We're once again sharing a bunch of important dates below. We've already accomplished a few, and it feels great to cross things off.

We have a major milestone coming up this week, which is senior portfolio presentations. As you know, this is a graduation requirement that is unique to North Haven, although portfolio style presentations are commonplace in many schools nationwide. Portfolios are an authentic, performance-based assessment emphasizing application of skills and knowledge, rather than simple acquisition or recall. Also, given our small size, we have the opportunity to implement these kinds of experiences because we can devote the time and resources.

We will have nine total presentations this year, which is amazing! A tremendous diversity of ideas and experiences will be on full display.
