Bon voyage...
Bon voyage...
First thing tomorrow morning, our high school is off to Quebec for the week, returning on Friday. We wish them well on their journey and look forward to updates and pictures.
A big thank you goes out to all who showed up to support three sold out shows of Matilda over these last few days. It has been a very busy few weeks for all involved. By the end of it, we'll have some very, very tired students, and a few others who've been sniffling and losing their voices. Make sure everyone gets some much needed rest. What will we do with ourselves this coming week without rehearsals and late evenings?
With that, it will be a relatively quiet week for the most part. We will be sending out more information on upcoming dates and events to round out the year, which will be coming up very quickly. Also over the next few weeks, students in grades 3-8 and the second year of high school will be taking the annual Maine Through Year Assessment. It is very similar in process and content to what was formerly known as the NWEA, administered in both the fall and the spring. Although relatively limited in overall scope, the assessments can be helpful conversation starters when discussing student growth over the course of a school year. There are a variety of reports that will be made available to help parents and families understand the results.
Here is more information on the assessment from the Maine DOE website.
