The high school music elective students had a day of music exploration on Friday! They visited Main Street Music Studios in Brewer, where owner, engineer and producer (and Laura’s cousin) Andrew Clifford gave a tour of the live room, vocal booth, and mixing studio and shared his path to becoming a professional drummer, teacher, and studio owner. At Husson College’s NESCOM, professor Josh Small showed off the college’s impressive studio spaces and explained the audio engineering program. There was time in the morning to admire the instruments at Northern Kingdom Music and do a little record shopping at Bull Moose. Despite getting stuck on the mainland, the trip was fun, informative, and worthwhile.
