We’ve had a busy stretch of learning and exploration across multiple grade levels, with several trips and excursions taking place last week. This week will wrap up on a festive note as we celebrate Halloween together.

The first quarter of the school year is quickly coming to a close, with just over two weeks remaining. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Fall Field Study potluck and presentation—it was a wonderful evening to honor student achievements and share in the excitement of their experiences.

We’ve also noticed a few seasonal illnesses making their way through the community. Thank you for being thoughtful and cautious when symptoms appear. Please continue to take good care of yourselves, and when students are feeling better, we look forward to welcoming them back. Consistent attendance makes a big difference in learning and growth for every student.

The 7th and 8th grade students attended a leadership conference at the Hyde School in Bath on Thursday. The seventh grade students attended a variety of presentations, while the eighth graders presented on the topic of Small Town Leadership. About 70 students attended their presentation over three sessions, which gave insights into the leadership opportunities provided by living in a small, isolated community and offered suggestions for those living in larger communities who might struggle to find their way into leadership.
