**Cough**

It seems as if the fatigue and all of the running around from basketball season has finally caught up to many of us.

We have been dealing with a rather significant outbreak of illnesses over the last several days. We have so many among staff that, just as a reminder, we will be instituting a remote learning day on Monday, February 10th, for students in grades 9-12. Students can check their email and Google Classroom pages for more information. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we need to try to get a handle on the contagion.

In the end, however, if your student isn't sick, or showing any symptoms, it is always best for them to be in school to maintain progress, routine, and consistency. We can do our best to contain the spread as much as possible, but it will catch up to most of us eventually.

With that, given the spread of illness and an impending snowstorm on Thursday, we are going to hold off on hosting a second Exhibition this week. We will find another way to celebrate literacy and reading when we return from the break, so stay tuned.
