You'll probably notice that we have a new fence in front of the school. This has been a multi-year project, with a significant part of the planning and design completed by students. There are many that we must thank for this project, at or very close to reaching completion as of this writing, namely the large group of volunteers who came out this weekend to dig holes and install posts.
Basketball season will begin soon. However, we are missing coach(es) for Boys Varsity. Please reach out to Laura MacDonald in the main office if you are interested.
Coming up this week will be our first quarter public Exhibition, which will double as a film screening of a brand new documentary on the power and importance of math skills. We will begin with exhibits and information about how we teach math at NHCS, followed by the documentary screening. Everything will begin at 4:30 and the film will begin at 5:30, which will run for 90 minutes.
Finally, we are going to be piloting some grab-and-go breakfast options starting tomorrow morning. A survey that went out last year showed significant interest in breakfast from families and students. We're going to start off simple and see how it goes with some cereal bars and fruit.
